Art is highly personal. The pictures we hang on our walls represent our dreams, our deepest truths, and what calls out to us from the world. They serve as projections of life as we choose to see it, surrounding the spaces of comfort, safety, and fun that are exclusively our creation (give or take a room mate or two). The Art 100 Pop-Up Shop is a collection of 100 of our favorite prints, art blocks, and lithographs in a wide array of styles. In the next couple of weeks, you will see some very special picks from Fab’s buyers and merchandising team members. So we decided to dig into the background of the artists and their works. It’s a mix that ranges from serious to funny to cute to badass. Just like Fab. Enjoy!
Joel Anderson - Yosemite Print
Joel Anderson is the founder of Anderson Design Group, an award winning Nashville-based firm specializing in advertising, illustration, branding, and packaging. Anderson himself has received an Emmy Award, a Dove Award, and Art Director of the Year award, among many others, and with his team has designed for clients including National Geographic, Universal Studios, Dreamworks, and Capitol Records. While the Group’s gallery prints have sold across continents, they maintain a distinct Americana, celebrating the history and diversity of the land with warm, saturated colors that evoke a sweet nostalgia. Part of the Art & Soul of America collection, Yosemite uses dramatic perspective and a mid-century typeface to bring to mind a grander era of travel postcards.
