A Story of Sedimentary Style

Once upon a time, there was a cool, not-at-all nerdy kid who owned a super awesome rock collection. As the years went by, she stopped collecting geological formations, but she never fell out of love with them. Not really.

Then one fateful day, the stars aligned, and the girl had a wonderful epiphany. She could revive her old rock collection—this time, in the form of ladylike accessories. She lived happily ever after, indulging her nerdiest desires while looking like a glamorous rock star.

Fine-Crafted Cuffs By May Furniture

In the world of May Furniture Co., jewelry and furniture go hand in hand. A trained woodworker and master craftsman, designer Travis James proves—with his signature wood cuffs—that jewelry doesn’t need gemstones or precious metal to glow. My design philosophy for my furniture is to create pieces with a quiet strength and a feeling of harmony.

How did May Furniture Co. come about?

To some of us, antlers and mid-century modern design might seem like an odd combination. To designer Meredith Piccin, it sounds like home, home on the range—just ask the framed deer antlers above her headboard. These two obsessions gave birth to the Oh Deer collection, which combines paint-dipped antler tips with vintage found objects like brooches, rhinestone earrings, and more treasures salvaged from thrift and flea markets. image

Based out of her Columbus, OH studio, Piccin works with a small team to create jewelry that doesn’t discriminate between the trendsetter and the free-spirited individual. We recently had the chance to pick her brain to see what goes into Honey Rose & K’s buzzworthy creations (available on Fab).
